Daniel J. Kelly, Partner
Dan obtained his CA designation in 1992 and joined KHMPC in 2000. He has a broad range of professional experience including tax minimization, accounting, business planning, estate planning, and more.
After obtaining a B. Comm. at Carleton University, Dan started his career in 1989 working for PricewaterCoopers LLP (formerly Coopers & Lybrand), where he worked in audit and special business investigations for six years. From there, Dan moved on to private industry, as a controller, and then, chief financial officer, for a mid-sized manufacturing company with subsidiary companies in the United States. In 1999, he moved back to public accounting to provide tax, accounting, estate planning, business finance, and many other financial activities for KHMPC’s profit and not-for-profit clients.
Michelle E. Huibers, Partner
Since joining the firm in 2006, Michelle has provided consistent and hands-on services to KHMPC’s not-for-profit and small-to-medium business clients. Michelle brings more than 25 years of accounting experience and expertise to her work at KHMPC. Michelle started her career in 1989; before joining KHMPC, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for 17 years after obtaining a B. Comm. from Carleton University.
Michelle has taught several courses, including audit methodology, accounting, and review engagements. Michelle is also very active with a variety of charities, providing financial and accounting expertise.
Ben McNeely, Partner
Ben joined KHMPC in 2002 to lead the implementation of the commercial accounting and auditing software (Caseware) in order to improve the efficiency and quality of audit and review engagements. Today, he brings a decade of assurance experience, as well as corporate and personal taxation to the benefit of his clients at KHMPC.
Before joining KHMPC, Ben worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and managed audit engagements for small and large not-for-profit organizations including the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). For the OAG, Ben assisted in training staff in the use of modern audit methodologies, as well as specialized auditing software. Ben completed his articling requirements while working with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1997 to 2002.
Chris Stranberg, Partner
Chris joined KHMPC in January, 2009 after a successful 8 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in tax, specifically claims for SR&ED.
Before joining KHMPC, Chris held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 2001, most recently with the tax group, and previously, with the audit group. Chris attained his CA designation in January 2005 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ontario.
